WELCOME TO GIRL LOST
The road had been winding and the days long; this girl was lost and a long ways from home
She looked all around her to passersby and defeated she sat down and began to cry
There seemed to be no end to this journey she’d began
So many lessons learned so much time spent
Everyone was going at the speed of light
But she could move only so fast, try as she might
She gathered herself together and told herself,
“I'm okay”
For true were her words as plain as day
One step, then two, and soon she’d gone further
And by chance she found herself at a door that looked like no other
She took a breath and bit her lip, tilted her head and said,
“I should ponder”
But when she opened it, what lay before her was a world full of wonder
